barn charm - londonderry, vermont

Last weekend, Greg and I stayed home to celebrate Easter with our family.
And while I'm sure there are barns in the Boston suburbs - well, I didn't see any.
So this snowy barn is from a couple weeks back -
which is just as well, because this week's focal length is 100 mm,
and so the challenge really begins...

Can you guess what it was about this barn that caught my eye?

:-)
Fortunately, we're beginning to see the first signs of Spring at home -
and even managed to take our first warm-up bike ride of the season.
Yep - there's hope.
How is the season shaping up where you are?

  3. Great barn and I love the sign! Most of the snow has melted here but the temps don't want to warm up much.

  9. Well, I like your barn with all the snow. Now the sign? I think somebody had a wicked sense of humor.
It's been warmer here and our snow is stating to melt. But guess what ? we have 3 days of snow and snow flurries forecast.

ok, don't hit me but i have to say this because i know the hubby would say it to me if he was here ... is it a SLOW lab (as in mentally) or is SLOW DOWN there is a lab dog in the way? just wondering? think about it?!?! we need to change those signs to be correct in their proper English. right??!

  11. Beautiful barn. I like the snow on the steel roof ridges. There were lots of motorbikes and bicycles out here on the weekend but one would be very cold today on one. Pamela from Canada

  18. Nice looking barn. The wood speaks of time and memory, while the snow speaks of season. And, we stand still marveling at the inexplicable mysteries hidden within and around the barn. The shots are great. I am enjoying your posts.
