rural artists- winhall, vermont

Saturday was one of those perfect Spring days in Vermont-
the kind that brings everyone outdoors.
Loading the kayaks on top of the car, I spied this artist absorbed in his painting.

Yeah - stealth photographer, I am not.
I'd really like to take a peek at his painting, though - wouldn't you?

This coming weekend is Open Studio Weekend across the state of Vermont.
Artists and artisans are opening their studios to the public
- like one big statewide open house.
So many great places to visit - I'm needing a strategy.

What is going on in your little corner of the world?

  5. My SIL goes kayaking and loves it!

Everything is opening up and getting pretty around here (inside and out). People are planting flowers, the town is gearing up for summer events, and everyone's in a happy mood. :)

The artist pic. is cool. :)

  13. Love how he has his canvas all marked off. I bet it has birch trees in it. A nice landscape perhaps. Oh, I'd love to see what he painted.
Sounds like a lovely artist weekend ahead.

  17. Taking photos of Plein Air artists is a difficult one, to intrude on their creative moment is iffy..I really like the photo though but yes I'd love to see his work in progress
